It was a good summary for me of things that I already knew and believe but written in such a way that I could recommend it for those with little knowledge who are interested in knowing more about faith in Christ and how that impacts the daily lives of believers.Product details

Great read in helping us define our purpose and what Christianity is like in today's society. Great message. Highly recommend!
This book describes a Christian faith that I wish we had more of in this world - a faith that isn't afraid of differences, a faith that is willing to build bridges, a faith that is generous. The personal stories that the author shares in this book are worth the read alone. In those stories, we see clear examples of a Christian faith that is firmly grounded in God's love and shared through humility and with mindfulness.
I'm not sure what I expected, but it wasn't this. Jeff uses rich storytelling to convey the Gospel core receive God's love, then lavish it unreservedly. Through real life experiences, Jeff wrote much more than book to read and shelve. This book is a roadmap into sharing God's hope and love in everyday situations. I've had this book less than two weeks, yet it's dog-earred, highlighted, and sticky noted as though I've had it two years. This heartfelt work should be in the hands of anyone called to make a kingdom difference today. Thanks for such an incredible resource.
I am a Christian who typically avoids Christian media. I often find "Christian" books too cheesy, too cutesy, too judgmental, or too political to speak to both my heart and my mind. "Loved and Sent" is none of those things. In "Loved and Sent," Jeff Cloeter weaves explanations of the essentials of Christian belief with personal narratives in a way that is both thoughtful and conversational. "Loved and Sent" has helped give me a way to more clearly articulate what I believe and why I believe it. And although Christians are the most obvious audience for this book, I think "Loved and Sent" would also be a good resource for anyone curious about Christianity--like C.S. Lewis in "Mere Christianity," Cloeter can write about something as intangible as faith intelligently and logically.
The title of the book refers to the idea that the core of the Christian faith is the understanding that we are loved by God, and then sent into the world to share that love with others. Cloeter is very aware of the the changing nature of this world, that we need to think carefully about what it means to be a Christian when our culture is no longer necessarily defined by Christian values. "Loved and Sent" looks beyond culture and urges people to deeply reflect on the enormity of God's love for us as individuals as well the ways in which we are sent, specifically, to others in our own lives.
